The instructions were clear and thorough and I was delighted that the packaging was minimal and almost entirely recyclable. I truly appreciate that there is minimal waste!
Be aware that installation relies on the existence of a small separation between the uppermost trim and front trim in the center of the Sprinter dashboard. The trim on our van was so tight to the dash that I was momentarily lost. A tiny bit of encouragement with a regular table knife and the bracket snapped into place as designed. So, don't panic if you encounter this.
I have used the charger/mount on several trips and the magnetic charging is great and the visibility and rigidity of the display are super. I wish a mount/charger of this caliber was available for our Outback!

We are glad to hear that our packaging design efforts are appreciated. It's certainly tempting to make packaging easy with plastic bags or foam like many others do. But we go out of our way to use as little material as possible, while protecting the product in transit. We know that many wouldn't make a purchasing decision based on packaging, but it's important to us to use resources carefully.
Thanks for the good insight about the variance in the gap. We have a trim tool (gentle wedges) that can help open the gap - but any household tool can do the trick, like you suggested.
We have a mounting base for the 2020+ Outback now and will start supporting older models soon.
