Designed for rough 4x4 trails. Offroam clamp is patent-pending mounting base that attaches securely to your vehicle and won't fall off, even over rough 4x4 trails or race days.

I'm sure it works well with other Offroam but...

For those looking to use this with RAM products, this is not compatible. The ball is much too small to mount to the typical 1" connector. I'm sure it works well with other Offroam products but that's not what I needed.

Thanks for your review R. There are many ball-socket systems in the market: 15mm, 17mm, 20mm, 22mm, 25.4mm (1'), 1.5'...
We only make one size (20mm) that is common to all our products. We are also very upfront about this in the specifications. Plese make sure that whatever you are looking to pair shares the same ball diameter. Even 'close enough' dimensions like 20 and 22mm will not work together.

Simple but excellent!

The ball mount works as advertised and I have no complaints.
The mounting system is easy to install and secure enough to hold a full size iPhone.
The fact that it doesn't require the user to disassemble the dash was a main selling point and the Ram compatibility mean it's very customizable.
