Mount for Garmin GPS

I used this mount for a Garmin GPS that required a 17MM ball.
I installed it in a 2025 2500HD Silverado custom.
I did need to purchase a 17MM ball from Amazon

I did turn down the base so it would be an exact replacement for the ball that came with the mount. You may be able to use this ball without turning down the base, it came with 1/4-20 internal threads. I used a button head cap screw with screw Loctite. I did add piece of shipping label under the mount so it would not mark the dash if it ever had to be moved or removed. This is a super good high quality mount.

Works for me.

The mount is fine.
I had to pry up on my dash with a trim tool to get the mount over the edge. Was not a fast installation but will hold my cell phone fine.

Circling back to your review because we made a couple of changes based on your suggestions: now all mounting bases ship with a trim tool that help get the mount lip over the edge. The installation instructions will be updated to reflect this before the end of this week.

Also we will soon (May 2024) roll out a V2 of the design that clamps axially installed of verically. While the V2 won't affect the studriness of the mount, it will certainly help simplify the installation.
